San Juan Shopping Center on Avenida Barceló was Bávaro’s first shopping mall and is still where locals get things done: IKEA, a supermarket, the cinema, banks, a pharmacy and all three phone companies.
Short answer: San Juan Shopping Center is at Avenida Barceló Km 9, at the Coco Loco junction, next door to Downtown Punta Cana. The mall is open roughly 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with the supermarket and cinema open later.

San Juan Shopping Center or Downtown Punta Cana?
Both are on the same stretch of Avenida Barceló, a few hundred metres apart. Go to San Juan for IKEA, the cinema and phone stores; go to Downtown Punta Cana for Jumbo supermarket, Scotiabank, Banco Popular and Banco Santa Cruz.
